Durational Cyanotype project
Same Sun, Different Place
Thirty cyanotype postcards were created during August 2025 using found objects collected during my travels through southern Spain and Portugal.
On returning home these postcards were then sent to friends and family around the world. Drawing inspiration from the postcard works of On Kawara, the project uses the simple act of sending and receiving mail as a way of marking presence, time, and human connection across great distances.
Each recipient photographed their postcard within their own landscape, beneath their own Sun and returned photo back to me whilst keeping their postcard.
Together, these images form a meditation on distance, connection, friendship and belonging. Though we are dispersed across continents and separated by geography, we share the same source of warmth and light. In moments when connection feels fragile or lost, the work serves as a reminder that we remain linked beneath the same Sun.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to take part. 🔷🔹
